(1) Designability of material performance
Due to the lightweight FRP, it is convenient to manufacture, and for the large structure and complex shape of building products, it can be manufactured by one-time molding to improve the integrality of the building structure.
(2) Good mechanical properties
The tensile strength of unidirectional glass fiber-reinforced epoxy composites can reach more than 1000MPa, which is higher than that of steel (construction steel). What is more outstanding is that FRP can be strengthened locally according to the stress condition of components in the manufacturing process, which can improve the bearing capacity of the structure and save the material to reduce the self-weight.

Transparent FRP has a light transmittance of more than 85% (similar to that of glass), and its biggest feature is that it is not easy to break and can bear loads.
(5) Heat insulation
The role of the building is to prevent temperature changes caused by heat conduction, and heat convection, to give people a good working and resting environment. General building materials have poor thermal insulation properties, such as ordinary concrete thermal conductivity of 1.5 to 2.1 W (m-K), a red brick thermal conductivity of 0.81 W (m-K), resin-based composite materials of sandwich structure of thermal conductivity of 0.05 to 0.08 W (m-K), 10 times smaller than the ordinary red bricks, more than 20 times smaller than concrete.
